Unexpected Start

Even before kickoff, something about the evening felt unusual. The thermometer showed minus one. Breath steamed through the air. And yet the Allianz Arena was completely full, a sea of red against the cold. This is the kind of night where football either freezes or catches fire. And surprisingly, it was Freiburg that lit the first match.

Within minutes, Bayern conceded twice from set pieces. Inside the stadium the shock was real. Even from my position pitch-side, it felt surreal to watch Manuel Neuer fish the ball out of his net twice before the match had even settled. With Bayern’s defensive quality and Freiburg’s recent form, no one in the stadium saw this coming. The pressure Freiburg applied early was intense. Their runs, their vertical passes, their belief. It was all sharper than expected.

But then the night began to turn.

Lennart Karl

When the Cold Breaks: Bayern’s Young Blood Steps Forward

Among the first sparks of Bayern’s comeback was Lennart Karl, wearing number 17.

His work rate stood out in a way that immediately drew attention.

Not because he is simply talented, but because of the hunger in his pressing.

Lennart Karl

Watching him sprint, recover, push forward, and demand the ball reminded me of the energy you see in a young Cristiano Ronaldo. Not the goals, but the obsession with involvement. He scored Bayern’s first goal, and from that moment the entire atmosphere shifted.

The crowd, shaken only minutes before, suddenly roared back to life.

The comeback had begun.

 Michael Olise

Olise Takes Over the Match

And then came Michael Olise, the architect of chaos for Freiburg’s defence.

From the moment his first assist landed perfectly, it was clear that Bayern had a genius on the pitch.

He finished the match with two goals and three assists, becoming (as confirmed by Reuters) the youngest Bayern player ever to be directly involved in five goals in a single Bundesliga match.

Every time Bayern needed a moment of quality, Olise created one.

Every attack seemed to go through him.

And every Freiburg defender seemed one step behind.

Harry Kane

Kane Scores Again and Bayern’s Bench Joins the Party

Harry Kane did what Harry Kane does.

Clinical, calm, ruthless in front of goal.

His finishing has almost become expected, but inside the cold Allianz Arena last night, the celebration felt louder, more relieved.

Then the substitutes entered.

Both players who came off the bench contributed with either a goal or an assist.

Jackson’s late goal, followed by his signature celebration, electrified the stadium once more. It was the kind of depth Bayern will desperately need for their next match in London.

Vincent Kompany

The Questions Bayern Must Answer Before Arsenal

Despite scoring six, Bayern’s problems were visible too.

Two early goals conceded from Freiburg, especially with Neuer in form, raise important questions. If Freiburg can expose these weaknesses so early, what will Arsenal do on November 26 at the Emirates?

Kompany will need solutions for a possible early setback.

Because the comeback against Freiburg was spectacular, but repeating this scenario against Arsenal is far from guaranteed.

Still, what Bayern showed last night is a team that refuses to panic under pressure.

A team that can absorb a punch and create six of its own.

A team whose young players are no longer just background names, but decision makers.
