MUNICH — FC Bayern Munich have officially confirmed that Harry Kane has signed a long-term contract extension, keeping the England captain and reigning Ballon d'Or winner at the Allianz Arena until June 30, 2029.

The announcement comes just days after the 33-year-old striker lifted football's most prestigious individual award, capping off a remarkable tenure since his arrival from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023. Kane has established himself as the focal point of the Bavarian attack, netting an extraordinary 156 goals in 161 appearances across all competitions.

"Right at Home in Munich"

Speaking at the club's Säbener Strasse headquarters, Kane expressed his delight with the agreement and reiterated his ambitions to add European silverware to his domestic honors.

"I feel right at home at FC Bayern. I love the club, the fans, and the city of Munich," Kane said. "We have a fantastic squad and, in Vincent Kompany, an outstanding manager. My whole family is settled here, and I want to win many more titles with this great club. I'm committed until 2029, and I'd be lying if I said winning the Champions League wasn't at the top of that list."

A Statement of Intent

Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen hailed the renewal as an essential milestone for both the club and the Bundesliga:

"The Ballon d'Or winner is staying in Munich. Since joining in 2023, Harry has delivered unprecedented consistency on the pitch while embodying leadership off it. This extension is a commitment to a story that is far from over."

Board member for sport Max Eberl echoed that sentiment, emphasizing that retaining the world’s premier all-round striker provides tactical and organizational stability as Bayern compete across all domestic and European fronts.

With his future now resolved through 2029, Kane turns his immediate attention to Saturday’s Bundesliga fixture against Mainz, fully focused on driving Bayern toward further silverware.
